Personal data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- your name, email address, telephone number, location and preferred language
- your company, role, professional background and public professional profile
- information about a venture, project or business opportunity that you choose to provide
- correspondence, meeting notes and records of our relationship with you
- basic technical and usage information supplied by our hosting and security systems, such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps and requested pages
Please do not submit sensitive, confidential or third-party personal data unless it is necessary, lawful and you are authorised to do so.
How we collect and use personal data
We may collect personal data directly from you, from your organisation, through correspondence and meetings, from public sources, and through normal website operations. We use it where permitted by applicable law to:
- receive, assess and respond to enquiries
- evaluate potential investments, collaborations, services and business relationships
- conduct due diligence, communicate and administer agreed activities
- operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve our website and systems
- maintain business and legal records, protect our rights, prevent misuse and comply with law
- send business updates or marketing communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted, with an option to unsubscribe
We will notify you of additional purposes where required. We do not sell personal data.
Consent and withdrawal
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully and may limit our ability to respond or continue a relationship. We may also collect, use or disclose personal data without consent where the PDPA or other law permits or requires it.
Disclosure and overseas transfers
We may disclose relevant personal data to wGrow personnel and affiliates, professional advisers, technology, hosting and communications providers, prospective transaction parties under appropriate safeguards, public authorities, or other parties where authorised or required by law.
Some recipients or systems may be outside Singapore. Where the PDPA requires it, we take appropriate steps to ensure transferred personal data receives a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA.
Protection and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
We retain personal data only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described, for legitimate business or legal purposes, or as required by law. We then delete, anonymise or otherwise cease retaining it where appropriate.
Access, correction and enquiries
Subject to the PDPA and applicable exceptions, you may request access to personal data we hold about you, information about its use or disclosure, or correction of inaccurate or incomplete data. We may verify your identity and charge a reasonable fee where permitted, after informing you of it.
To make a request, withdraw consent, raise a complaint or contact our data-protection representative, email [email protected]. Please use the subject line "Data Protection Request". We will respond as soon as reasonably practicable.
